A Very 'Journalistic' Night Out

It was definitely a night to remember!

The chit-chat, the crowd, the food. Our whole class of Semester 3 Journalism batch 2007 of Taylor's College had a celebratory night-out with our lecturer Mr.John Beh at T.G.I Friday's.

Hold on! A little bit of exaggeration here.

Well, the "whole" class comprises of only 4 of us (Azie, Andrew, Shaz and me). So that isn't a very big number. But still! Its a class, right?

Well, well, well! So what are we celebrating?

Um, many things! First of all, the completion of a buzier-than-ever semester. Then, completion of all our assignments. Whoosh! That was worth celebrating! And then, thanking Mr. John for his classes and finally our majoring in Journalism!

Journalism rocks! Really! Ask andrew, azie or shaz for confirmation :D Haha

Let's see how it all began. I mean this little dinner thing. Shaz and I came up with the idea that it would be great to have a class dinner with Mr. John. So we asked him. He was up for it. Well, he is a cool guy. (Right now as I am writing this, he must be underwater in Phuket diving... see how cool he is)

We decided to have the dinner on the last day of the study week. That was just before the exam.

Then we sorted out the venue and the food. Mr.John and Shaz were in favor of Japanese food. But Andrew and I were against it. Both of us dont like Japanese.
Azie was neutral here. I boycott Chinese and any seafood variety. Andrew backed me against seafood.

Finally, we settled for Western. The contenders were Chilli's, Tony Romas, Kenny Roger's and T.G.I. We eliminated Tony Romas and Kenny Roger's in the very beginning. (Reasons I already forgot)

So only Chilli's and T.G.I are remaining. Azie was excited about Chilli's (she lives near KLCC) But in the end, we settled for T.G.I Friday'sm Subang Parade. We settled the date too.

Since we don't have class that day, we planned to go to Subang Parade and roam around the place before Mr.John comes. Shaz drove us. We made a reservation at T.G.I.

Wechecked out the MPH store. I bought a Galaxy magazine. Then we just checked around other stores as well. Andrew was hungry. Well, we all were. He finally ended up having a quick meal at McD.

Around 7, when Mr. John came and joined us, we ordered our food. During our course of meal, we chat about almost everything. Our studies. Our future. Happenings in the world around us. Our childhood. It was great sharing ideas and thoughts with all. Mr.John has been a wonderful company.

All in all, we all had a great time. Well, a night out with future journalists/media practitioners like us and our guru Mr.John, what do you expect out our little gathering to be? It was just wonderful.

Thank you Mr. John for making it to the dinner and thank you all, Andrew, Azie and Shaz! You guys have been such a great company! Cheers!!! :D
