MOOO! MOOO! The cow.
I have no idea how I managed to sit through the depressing lecture of the dreadful Economics without fainting.
Dan Brown saved me! Quite literally.
I have been reading his bestseller "Angels and Demons" throughout the whole lecture, refusing to pay any attention.
Not that I am rude. Just because I honestly am not getting a word he's saying.
Except...
he kept repeating Less Less Less, More More More
More and Less
Less and More
Less Less
More More
But I couldn't find out which is less and which is more... Pity me!
Azie, Shaz and me sat at the back row, a deliberately planned effort. We know what lay ahead of us.
Azie was reading a novel too. But she felt bad for not listening. Almost like committing a crime. So she keeps sneaking peeks at the slides every now and then and try to make sense of that 'Less & More' thing...
I was fully immersed in the book. Not paying the least bit of attention until I heard Mr. Boon say...
CD...
and then, PIZZA...
Did he really say that? CD & PIZZA. An odd connection, don't you think?
My first though - Are we going to eat pizza and watch a CD or something?
Yay! How cool! I kept an eye on the door for Pizza Hut deliver man to appear at any moment with loads of complimetary pizza from Mr. Boon.
I was disappointed that he didn't ask me which pizza I prefer.
OUCH!
We are not going to eat pizza or even watch a CD. Nothing at all. He was just showing us examples while explaining those graphs. For the record, I hate graphs.
You get more pizza, you get less CDs. More CDs, less pizzas. He kept explaining something or nothing like that.
Oh my god!
Back to the book.
Malaysia produces palm oil. Australia produces dairy products. I heard in the background. The lecturer kept repeating.
Then the cow got involved out of no where.
Shaz did the MOOO thing. Ha ha! I could hardly contain myself.
We were discussing cows in our beloved Economic class. How cool!
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Shaz couldn't wait to get out! So couldn't I.
All what I learned today was COWS, MOOO, PIZZA, CD, PALM OIL...
Whether any of it might actually come in handy in exam is anybody's guess. I had be more than glad to write an answer sheet full of MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO =)
The best part of the lecture was its ending. Not because we couldn't wait to get out.
Surprisingly, for a totally different reason.
An "economically-modified" version of the song 'Upside Down- Bouncing Down the Ceiling' accompanied by a presenation (to cheer us up) concluded our boring session.
Upside Down - Bouncing Down the Ceiling!
Trust me, that was the best part of the whole, lenghty lecture!
